New Year Resolutions
New Year Resolutions Chapter 1. It all started with an off-handed comment from Veronica's husband Rob during the family's New Years Tradition. Every year they go around and tell each other their resolutions for the New Year. Julia, the eldest child and very much a romantic, says, “I want to get into a new, wonderful, and eternal relationship.” The next oldest, Robert Jr but everyone calls him Robert, who is named after his father but is the exact opposite, goes next, “I resolve to be a better person”, he says with a big smile at his mother. After him is the youngest, the sweet and innocent Sarah, for the most part she is the best bits of her parents combined. “For this New Year, I just want to be happy.” She says with a smile and cheer on her face. Next is Rob, the patriarch of the family, who owns a small construction company and once was a big and powerful man, but now is a shadow of his former self. “I am going to make more money this year.” He gloats....
